Reputation & Communications

Build the reputation that makes everything else easier.

Overview

Reputation is not a soft metric that lives beside the pipeline. It is the thing that determines how expensive the pipeline is. A company the market already trusts spends less to be believed, closes faster, survives bad weeks, and gets the benefit of the doubt from regulators and reporters.

Problems we're brought in to solve

  • 01Your technology is being described publicly by people who dislike it.
  • 02A council, a regulator or a community has to say yes before a customer can.
  • 03Leadership is credible in the room and invisible outside it.
  • 04Something went wrong, and the first 48 hours are already being written.
  • 05Employees learn about the company's direction from LinkedIn.

How it runs

  1. 01

    Establish the baseline

What is actually being said, by whom, where, and with what reach — earned media, search results, AI answers, council minutes, review sites, employee channels.

  2. 02

Decide what you will be known for

Two or three defensible positions, each attached to a real proof point. Reputation built on claims you cannot substantiate is a liability with a delay fuse.

  3. 03

    Build the spokespeople

Executive narratives, media training, op-eds, keynotes, testimony. The most efficient reputation asset most organizations own is a leader who can explain the thing clearly.

  4. 04

    Earn it, then own it

Media relations and public affairs to earn third-party credibility; owned content and search to make sure that credibility is still there when somebody looks you up six months later.

  5. 05

    Prepare for the bad day

Issues register, holding statements, escalation paths, spokesperson rotas, dark site. Written while everyone is calm, because that is the only time it can be written well.
